This week's new episode is with Capt. Tony Melton . . . we called it
"Melton Drags" because that's exactly what we did that day, melt some drags on Tripletail
and Sharks. We went down to Islamorada last month and shot this episode. Had
a great time with Capt. Tony, he told me it'd been awhile since he was the
one fighting the fish so when he hooked into a Mogan shark late in the day,
I think he was sorry he ever shared that bit of information with me. Ha! Got
his arms stretched a bit.
He sure put me on the Tripletail though too . . . I love how I can stand up
on my
Engel Cooler, use it as a casting platform and see into the water where the fish are.
Just that little extra bit of height makes all the difference. This casting
platform does double duty though . . . does it's job while I'm fishing and
keeps my drinks ice cold when I'm done.
A special thanks to our friends at Star Brite for the hospitality while in Islamorada. They opened up their home to me and the crew and we truly appreciate it. When you're on the road as much as we are, a little bit of "home" away from home makes a huge difference in the morale. We enjoyed it and will definitely be back.
