taking the leap

The newsroom has been moved, the format has been changed and now it’s time to decorate! We have so many birthdays to celebrate this month, we’re going to leave up the balloons and crepe paper all 29 days! We even get to celebrate an extra day because it’s bissextile year. While we get the balloons blown up, check out what else is going on.

Spread the news
FINS is catching on in S.W. Florida. Laishley Marine in Punta Gorda recently stocked the shelves with FINS. Here are a few other locations you can find FINS in that corner of the state; Dick’s, Angler Systems, Fishin’ Franks Bait & Tackle and SRQ Fishing Oasis. Let us know if your favorite tackle shop needs to be stocked with FINS.

Lounging around
Congratulations to Rich Leber! Rich won our Mogan Lounge Name That Species contest which landed him a nice little prize pack that includes items from Costa, Mirrolure, Shark Tooth and more. If you haven’t been to the Mogan Lounge, stop in and become a member. Be on the lookout for more surprise contests. You never know where or when Mr. Producerman is going to pop one out!

Coming up on Addictive Fishing
Mogan Man travels to Islamorada in the Florida Keys to fish for tarpon on fly with Capt. Honson Lau. It’s amazing that such a large fish will eat a bait as small as the flies Honson chose for this shoot. Blair points out that “elephants eat peanuts” and tarpon will eat a tuft of fur and feathers. The NEW Flats Blue series fly rod gets a good workout when Capt. Blair ties into a true Mogan. Catch the excitement Monday @ 6 am, Wednesday @ 4 pm and Saturday @ 8:30 pm on Sportsman Channel. Can’t get enough Addictive Fishing on the tube? Subscribe to the AF YouTube channel. It’s FREE and airs any episode at the click of a mouse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mogan of the Week
Kalon Johnson chimed in on our FaceBook fan page this week with his picture of a “big ugly.” Kalon wrestled this Mogan black drum out of the bayous of Louisiana and he says the battle raged on for half an hour. Great catch, Kalon, and thank you for the kind words about the show!

Full of hot air,
