Countdown - 7 Days

Filming "Goldfish" on the Space Coast

7 days and counting until the 2016 Addictive Fishing season kicks off on Fox Sports Sun. First episode was shot right back in my home waters of the Space Coast with Capt. Jamie Glasner. We're hooking big red drum and having a blast. We're throwing live bait and using the Trokar circle hooks, gets 'em right in the corner of the mouth every time. Safe for release too. Check out this season's episodes starting Friday, April 1st at 9:00 a.m. (ET), Sunday at 9:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 8:30 a.m on Fox Sports Sun.  If you watch online, all episodes will be available on our YouTube channel Mondays at 7 p.m. (ET).  It's going to be a good season of Mogans!

Field & Stream Store

Hey all you Louisiana sportsman . . . I'll be in Lafayette, LA next Friday and Saturday (April 1st and 2nd) at the new Dick's Sporting Goods / Field & Stream Grand Opening. Come out to see me, check out the gorgeous new stores and pick up some great deals on all things outdoors.

Also, if you stop by, say Hey and show me your latest Mogan on your phone (#showyourmogan), and I'll give you a bottle of Star Brite Boat Wash. It's a biodegradable product that gets your boat sparkling clean. Been using the stuff for years and Star Brite has made me my own signature series bottle . . . pretty darn cool!  Stop by Dick's on Friday, April 1st and I'll be there at 8 a.m. to Noon, then on Saturday the 2nd, I'll be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In fact, just used the stuff yesterday to clean off our newest addition to our Skeeter boats line up, the SX 2250. We took out some visiting family of Trice's and got a lot of fish slime on it. This is Jake, he showed up with his Dad, 2 brothers, a friend and his dad. It was their first time fishing Tampa Bay. I called in some back up, and Capt. Chris Camps joined us. (Y'all know Capt. Chris from "Camp Tarpon" episode.) And yesterday, our captain put us all on snook after snook after snook. All of us except Jake . . . Jake got himself an Inshore Slam - a redfish, a trout and a snook all in one day. Check 'em out:

One of the reasons I keep doing this job is the smile like the one Jake's wearing in those photos . . . love it!
