Bahamas Bonefishing the Flats

Bahamas Bonefishing
We fished two days offshore to film one episode. We only had a day and a half left before we had to make the long trek back to Ft. Lauderdale, so we put the word out around Chub Cay Marina and Resort that we could make two guides famous on TV. The word got out and we had two trips setup. One day with one guide and a second half day with another guide. We head out the first morning with 2 skiffs full of crew in hopes of getting on them quickly. That didn't happen. As a matter of fact, we got the proverbial "should have been here yesterday excuse!" We kept grinding and poled around a corner and there was the motherlode of bonefish. Capt Blair had the buggy-whip ready. He's not known for throwing the fly rod but on this day he made the perfect cast. After we released the first bone, he turned around and casted and caught another while wading in the crystal clear flats. Boom! We had half an episode with tomorrow morning with a new guest. The next day we headed out in hopes of finishing this episode. First spot was a bust. Capt Blair hooked his lip. The wind was playing tricks on his fly. We head to the next spot and again monster mudding school of bonefish. We got great drone footage of this massive school, and Capt Blair scored the final bonefish of the episode. This was an epic Bahamas trip. If you want to watch the full episode of "Bahams Bones" click the link below, share it with your friends and leave a comment below.
