Swamped

Capt Blair Holding a Snook

This week, we're fishing in Capt. Mark Nichols' backyard of Stuart, Florida in my new Beavertail Vengeance. Mark is the owner and creator of DOA Lures, and it's always a trip fishing with my buddy Mark. We're fishing in the blue-green algae waters of the Treasure Coast making sure our beloved snook are still around and healthy. Mark sure makes things fun no matter if we're catching or not, but we ARE catching. I even take him back to the 10 cent bridge to see what's biting, and we both slam 40" Mogan Snook!! The algae bloom is an environmental issue and it definitely needs to be addressed, but on the good side of the story, the snook are still there and looking healthy.

Check out "Swamp Thing" on Fox Sports Sun tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. (ET). You can also catch the replay on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. (ET) and again Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. (ET) If you don't get Fox Sports Sun on your TV, catch it on our YouTube channel Mondays at 7 p.m. (ET) . . . Producerman gets it up there for y'all to watch, every Monday at 7 p.m.

We've got a treat for y'all on Tuesday, September 13th . . . I'll be coming to ya LIVE on set with a special guest. Humminbird Guru, Bill Carson will be joining me to talk technology. Bill and me just got done fishing in Georgia on Lake Lanier for Striper and Walleye (yep, I went freshwater fishing), and he got to show me so many tricks, techniques and cool technology that Humminbird, Minn Kota and Cannon have out there. I know we were on a freshwater lake, but the cool thing that Bill was showing me is that all of these products and techniques work just as fantastic in saltwater as they do fresh. Can't wait to introduce him to y'all and to take your questions. Make sure you tune in on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. from our YouTube channel! Oh, and we'll also be announcing our final Show Your Mogan Photo Contest Winner of the summer LIVE

Until next week . . . tight lines,
Blair
