The day we filmed this week's episode it was cold . . . cold for this Florida-born and raised boy, but the trout were biting and I got to fish with a long-time friend and fellow tournament angler, Capt. Greg DeVault. Capt. Greg and I met many moons ago when we were both fishing the FLW Redfish Series. I was fishing with my buddy Capt. Tadd VanDemark (some of you remember him as the Taddmanian Devil) and Capt. Greg was fishing with his Dad. Great guys, awesome anglers and it's nice to be fishing for fun now with him in his home waters.
Capt. Greg is a guide up in the Tampa Bay area and knows the waters really well around the Anclote River. Like I said, the day we were filming was a cold day and he knew just where the fish might be hiding to stay out of those cold waters. Don't get me wrong, it was a fun day, just chilly! Check out this week's episode, "Anclote Chill" on FoxSports Sun this weekend, starting on Friday, April 12th at 9 a.m. (check AF website for replay days/times).
I'm back on the Space Coast this week filming again with my grade school buddy, Capt. Scott Lum. More to come about that next time!! Gotta keep it short and sweet . . .
Until next week,
