| After getting home from WCWII, I thought it would be a good idea for me to miss work on Sunday to do a little "ditch dippin'". Mike, Sharon, and I paddled to the drainage ditch that produced a few nice fish last week and were not disappointed this week. It seems that I had the hot stick with several fish ranging from 22" to 35" all caught on a pearl (370) CAL 3" shadtail. Mike lost a couple of fish and Sharon managed 1 ladyfish.

Seriously though, I even said to Mark, "Poor Matt was trying so hard to get one of those. He would LOVE it if he could get one like this.

| That was a great fight. It jumped up when I stuck the hookset and all I could do is turn to look over my shoulder at Mike to see it he saw it. We both said it at the same time... "Holy ****!"
Work gets in the way a lot for me too. Yesterday would have been perfect to get out there during the front. I'm sure the bite was slammin'. I'm gonna play in the ditch this weekend to see if there's any hungry one's still feeding. Hopefully the front didn't close them down.
