I am really wanting to buy a shimano sustain and I am wondering if it is worth it? I have a stradic right now and I would like to know how much better it is...any advice would be greatly appreciated..Thanks

I have a sustain right now that I have had for about 3 years and it is still going strong. I have had less problems with this reel than I have any others. Some would argue however that for the price, you can get better reels or that you can get better okuma reels for less price.

I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great!

no lie sustains are way cool and a great piece of equipment my buddy has one...i don't spend that much money on a reels though and before you do take a look at the Peens new AF sereis i have an AF 4000 and it's off the chain cool about a 100 bucks and is way smooth and powerful and it's Peen so you no it will outlive any reel out there.............

I used to have a Sustain....
I had a lot of problems with powerpro looping on the reel and causing lots of wind knots. I paddled up to a couple of guys fishing in a johnboat and asked them if they wanted to buy it for cheap. one guy looked at it and told me he would be interested if it was a Stratic. He and that reel were made for each other so I just gave it to him.
