i have a motor guide tm and i was driving my boat and we hit a couple of waves and then the trolling motor just started going on its own..(i have a foot petal with a toe switch)  and i am not sure what is wrong with it.  my dad thinks its the switch that it is just stuck together, but im not sure.  does anyone have any information on this...thanks...

I've got some experience with Motor Guide. My suggestion is...
get a Minn Kota.

This will solve your problem.

Don't know what type toe switch you have, but I could open mine up. It was acting up so I opened it and took some 220 grit sandpaper and cleaned the contacts, then blew the stuff out, put it back together, and it worked like a charm. Good luck. BTW, mine is a Minn Kota, I have one on each boat. Love 'em.
