| i have a motor guide tm and i was driving my boat and we hit a couple of waves and then the trolling motor just started going on its own..(i have a foot petal with a toe switch) and i am not sure what is wrong with it. my dad thinks its the switch that it is just stuck together, but im not sure. does anyone have any information on this...thanks...

| I've got some experience with Motor Guide. My suggestion is...
get a Minn Kota.
This will solve your problem.

| Don't know what type toe switch you have, but I could open mine up. It was acting up so I opened it and took some 220 grit sandpaper and cleaned the contacts, then blew the stuff out, put it back together, and it worked like a charm. Good luck. BTW, mine is a Minn Kota, I have one on each boat. Love 'em.
