My friends and I are having problems with the terroreyz hooks. If we even get the hooks into the tarpon they are straightening out on even small fish. Does DOA make heavier hooks for the terroreyz or should I try the larger giant terroreyz? Help please!

Large tarpon are caught on terroreyez all the time. I would imagine however that you would have to loosen up on your drag and not play them tight.

I have heard similiar complaints from captains though and I myself and not as pleased with the new t-eyes heads and bodies as I was with the old. The little lead spike on the front of the head that holds the nose is much much shorter on the new jig heads and I am having problems with it not keeping the nose straight foward after catching a few fish.

I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great!

I use the 3/8 oz Terroreyz all the time to catch large tarpon. Occasionally, I will straighten a hook but it is almost always from setting the hook too hard. Try setting the hook with several short quick pumps instead of one huge strike. Once I have a fish on, it rarely straightens out the hook.
