| I am really thinking about getting a Karma rod for my birthday, but I am not sure if I should. Will the rod break easily? Is it worth the money? Are they good rods? and I am looking for a reel in the $100 range to go with it. any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks...

| Never heard of the rod. You can get very nice okuma reels in that price range as many hear will attest. Some of the shimanos are nice in that price range as well.
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |

| | Karma makes a very good rod , I have spoke with them at their shop here in Brandon where they are produced , as far as the money goes, I dont think I would spend it on a production rod , they are cool lookin though, I think they must drop some acid before they build them ..lol the ones I have seen are pretty flashy Matt you can see thm here http://www.karmarods.com/ For a production rod I would probably go with a redbone..which I have and love, or check out the eupro line of rods , they are also made here in Tampa by a Chinese family and the quality is exceptional for the price ..around 80 to 90 dollars on average, and they truley stand behind the products they sell ! They dont have an established website ..Aint sure why , but you can see them here http://www.anglers-outlet.com/fishing_products/eupro_spin_fishing_rods.htm Now if ya want a all time world class rod ...Check with Captain Karl (fishbones) here on the forums . He made me a git-r-done rod that has to be the very finest I have fished with ...Now I got to have him make me one for casting and jigging , The one I have is made for horsein the fish from structure, a real heavy duty bruiser of a rod ..but I still can feel the shrimp kickin on the end of my line But its just a litle to much for castin and jigging all day because of the long handle...gonna go with a shorter one next time ...Ya here that Karl ??
