I suffered from the same problem when I first started fishing saltwater you see the fish but they dont eat what you have i would try throwing every lure that I owned at them but it still didnt work My problem was not the bait it was me. My advice ( and thats all it is) is slow down take a deep breath and make sure to make a good and accurate cast out in front of the lead fish I figured out that when i did this it really didnt matter what I used for bait but as long as I made a natural presentation the fish would eat
