| | Sounds like you threw the whole tackle box at them. It could be you need a lighter, smaller presentation. Could also be the fish are so tuned into whatever bait they're chasing that they're ignoring anything artificial. Maybe a cast net full of whatever they're eating is the ticket. Anyway, at least you're fishing. |

| | Are you sure there reds? You shoud have gotten at least one to eat. If they are reds, try leading them more with the Gulp, letting the fish find the bait. Or bust out some live Shrimp. |

| If you threw out a DOA jerkbait IMOO you neglected the 3 deadliest DOA's. Try bouncing a rootbeer DOA terroreyez in front of them. The T-eyez is deadly just sitting on the bottom, so let it sink, thump it, and let it sit on the bottom for a few seconds before thumping it again. You can use a simillia method with the DOA ogld glitter shrimp, except use small twicthes instead of hard thumps. They should eat. Lastly, try a gold glitter black back shallow runner baitbuster with a slow retrieve.

| | In the Mosquito Lagoon the past few weeks, the bigger reds (upper slot and over) have been hammering the DOA shallow running baitbuster in gold flake or black/silver. We are working them on or just under the surface and getting some vicious strikes. The DOA tough guy pinfish imitation has also been working well. Capt. | Capn Chris is on to something. The reds do looove that exact baitbuster he is talking about. I do ALOT better with it in the winter up here in the big bend but it works year round. Work it just below the surface. Forget the terroreyez in that grass, however the gold glitter DOA shrimp should spank em. I would be suprised if they turned the shrimp down. Let it settle slightly in the grass and pop it out.
