| Hey guys, I'm going to buy a power pole but am unsure of what length to get. Either the 6' or the 8'??? I fish mostly in 4-5 ft of water. Seems to me like that might be cutting it close for the 6 footer??? Not too sure. Just looking for a little input from people that have the 6ft or 8 ft... Likes, dislikes and opinions.

| | 100% love having a PowerPole. Have no idea what'd I'd do without it! I'd just say the 6' unless you're really fishing deep water. If so, you'll be wanting to use a anchor anyways. My PowerPole: No problems on this Ranger or on my last boat. Get the remote! You'll be glad you did.

| | 100% you need a power pole! I have a 6 footer and love it. I don't have the remote but wish I did. Mine has a switch on the console. It anchors great in 5 foot of water or less, but if you are in 5 foot of water and have some wave action, you might have a sticking problem and it does not anchor well near the 6 foot mark for obvious reasons. The pole sticks deep into bottom so if you are pushing the depth limit, you will not be getting a good stick. Expecting on spendiing a thousand for parts and installation.

| I installed mine on my last boat. Turned out fine, but was worth having someone else go through the trouble.

| Man, The installation only took an hour and a half! It was super easy! Hardest part was making sure the pole was mounted on the transom the correct number of inches up from the bottom of the boat and straight... My hat is off to the power pole people for ease of installation!!! The people doing the installs for hundereds of dollars have got a sho' nuff' racket going on! Will post picks later on the final product...
