I've tried several of the recipies at www.johnsonville.com and dig 'em.  It's full of recipies from people that send their favorites in and I'm lovin' it!  In fact, that Creole Fettuccini that J.C. talked about in his latest article . . . tried it and loved it.

I like tweaking recipies a little and make 'em my own . . . if you try any out let me know what you do and how it is.

Made Cobia for dinner last night . . .

Took a Johnsonville sausage link and took it out of casing . . . browned it with some shallots and added squeeze of fresh lemon, lemon zest, maple syrup (I know that sounds crazy but trust me), two leaves of fresh sage, and a touch of half and half.  Once that reduced a bit, I took it out of the pan and then cooked my cobia coated in Panko flakes (Japanese bread crumbs) and sauteed them up until brown.  I then poured my sausage mixture over the fish for the few last minutes and served with brown rice, sweet carots and greens beans.

The sage and the syrup added such a sweet smokey flavor along with the sausage . . . the Panko flakes added a crunch texture and it all was beautiful!  My mouth's watering now.  Producerman dug it too!

Enjoy!

There is nothing better than grilled Brats and Sauerkraut.

Sounds like plans for this weekend.

Tight Lines,
