i just recently purchased a 2006 1720 flyfisher and am having no problems with any of that stuff.maybe try running your boat with the trim tabs up one time and see what that does ours didnt porpoise at all when we were running with them up and we were running at about the same RPMs .also i havent noticed any paint chipping on the platform.my best advice is to call the people at action craft and let them know.good luck!!

I used to own a Flyfisher 1720. I have since traded for a Pathfinder 2200.  Make sure that your engine is trimmed all the way down. If it is not, this will cause the condition that you describe. If this is not the problem, trim tabs should fix it.

I just got an 182 action craft and when I am running and I slow down with the engine still trimmed up it will porpoise.  Try trimming the engine and messing with it.... good luck
