| | I have used Scott rods( A2, and SAS) for the salt and really like them, but I bought a 9ft 4pc 8wt Winston IBIS off ebay and it has become my favorite. Not too fast, or slow, just right for me. But my casting has been described as looking like " an old lady trying to kill a bee with a broomhandle"! I got the Scott rod(SAS) at the Flyfisheman in Titusville, Fl when they were being discontinued. Both the SAS and the Ibis cost right around 180.00. Hope this helps.... Rob |

| I have a TFO which only costed me about $100.00 for an 8wt, and came highly recommended by a pro fly angler. I like it but then again I do not have alot to compare it to. I also have an orvis power matrix and I like it just the same but the TFO was about 3 times as cheap.
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |

| | I have had great luck with TFO rods. I just got a TiCRx 8 weight that is awesome. Under $300 and it has a no-fault warranty for $25. |
