| Picked up my Cuz Bill in Titusville at 5:00am,stopped for some McMuff`s to get the day started right ,then met up with fish4reds out at the Eddy Creek Ramp at 6:15am,with the winds Howling out of the East
We made our way out to the mouth of the creek, then headed south behind Pelican Island,as I rounded the first island,I see this Duck Hunter`s Decoys,I gave him a wide birth......BOOM ,this clown pops a shot off.....I look up for falling Ducks.....nothing but Seagulls....always got to be one Armed Dill-Weed out there that just can`t get along, has spent Shell`s floating across the water, and dead Seagull`s floating within shot range of his Set-Up....Nice Play Toy Tex We met several other Hunter`s out there, very pleasant encounters, and were even offered a couple of Floating Ducks that the wind had drifted away from them...we declined, but it was a nice gesture .......anyway
We made our way back out in front of Pelican Island, where we started seeing bait movement,so we moved up wind about 100yrds,and set up a slow drift with out anchors. fish4reds catches this Nice 23" Trout and a dink, cuz catches a few dinks.....Then the Tail`s start popping up......Huge Red Flag`s,and not a boat in sight
Don`t know how many there actually was,but every tail you seen, had two more with it that you couldn`t see until they moved, but all three of us got several casts to at least 10 tailing reds that were very at ease with us being there,fish4reds even had a few swim under the boat ..........then someone flipped the switch, and they were GONE
About noon, the wind turned out of the SE,so we tied on the Tow-Rope and headed way down to the SE,and set up a drift back to the mouth of Eddy Creek. Finding nothing out in the middle of the grass,I moved into the Sand Trouft next to the shore, bouncing my DOA CAL[Arkansas Glow] off the bottom, and I felt a Thump,Thump,ZZZZZZZ,followed by a 15 second head shake, then a long run, another long head shake.......Sweet Fight
23 1/2" Mini-Gator

This was how far away Team fish4reds was from me when I caught that fish..

After releasing the trout,my next cast,I watched my jig go flying without my line ,so I told myself " That`s A Good Sign"....so I tied a fresh jig head and CAL on,and the next cast hardly hit the water before it came tight, and I knew this one was a Red by the blistering run.......another Sweet Fight
Two Handed Two Footer

Notice how Team fish4reds keeps closing the distance....LOL

So now the Smack Talk starts .......Yall can move ahead of me,my arms are getting tired...LOL.....I`ll just catch the ones back here..LOL........Then I catch a 20" Red from behind them, that was too hot to hold, and made a bouncing exit from my yak .....by now the guys are cutting me,trying to keep me from casting at all .....but I still catch another dink trout from behind them before we called it a day....made it back to the ramp about 3:30pm......Wore Slap Out !!!!!!!!
Oh,I almost forgot the biggest Red of the day........20lbs, I seen this Red Tailing in the Mangroves,so I snuck up on it,and landed it by Hand........

I had a great time Austin, thanks for letting me tag along......Now we need to get your Pic`s up

| Sweet Guys! Gotta love yak fishing. Glad to see someone is catching fish this winter.
I once had a bad day of fishing, but it was still great! CHB: the few, the proud, the chosen |
