| | I fish an inlet channel that meets up with the ocean the water is shallow to 6 feet deep i have used ocean prowler 13 there my dad and brothers and i like the rudder and fish finder on my dads. just wondering what is everyone favorite kayak and why what you look for in a kayak and what brand is the best. i have been looking at ocean big game, malibu x factor, cobra fishndrive and was realy trying to see if anyone owns the hobie paddel drive kayaks or knows how they are for a fishing kayak. i am really looking for a stable kayak to fish for snook, tarpon reds in shallow to moderately deep water up to ten feet want a kayak i can stand up in and pole or push along. |

| I have the Ocean Kayak,Big Game Prowler....It`s Big,Heavy,and kinda Slow,but what if offers,makes it perfect for what I do 
The extra Sponsens on each side makes it very Stable,and helps keep my fat butt Higher off the water,offering a Dryer Ride. I`ve been on a Regular Prowler,and it sits so low,that the water comes up through the Scuppers and gets but butt wet 
The Big Game has tons of Cargo Space below,and I can fit all my camping stuff below,and all my fishing stuff above,without sinking so low in the water,that it slows you down.
Very Stable....I can sit on the side,with both feet over the side,and never flip it .....I can drift sideways into a wave,and have No Worries of flipping or taking on water......I Stand Up in it to fish often,and the Big Game has a large Flat,Square area in front of the seat that is perfect for standing !
It has a nice little Dry Storage area between your feet,perfect for Keys,Wallet,Camera,Smokes...ect.
Like I said,you have to give up a few things like Speed,but you get soooo much more back in return
