| | Hey yall! Went 'yakin at Dunedin Causeway sunday afterfnoon-no sun screen and im payin for it now- and i had a lot of fun. I had so much fun that im thinking about buying a kayak. I was thinkin on the Hobie Mirage pro angler because it can hold a lot of weight-Im not small hehe - and it has pedals intead of using paddles. I can go further using my legs rather then my arms. I learned this when i was paddling thru some somewhat big waves because jet ski guys and people in boats find it hilarious to make BIG waves. It was my first time paddling, turning, speeding, and most importantly BALANCING! When i first tried getting in, i tipped over and i fell into the water. I didnt plan on swimming so i went with jeans and my yellow polo shirt...If any of you saw a rather large feller in blue jean shorts and a really baggy polo shirt at teh kayak rental, that was me Anyways, i got too tired using my arms to paddle and stuff. Id like to use the leg things on the mirage, so i was wondering if thats a good kayak for me to use. Thanks!

Contact Neil Taylor in the Dunedin area. He is the premier kayak guide for that area and paddles a Native Ultimate.
I know you said your arms got tired but that's because it was your first time out. The more your use them the less you'll feel it. Just paddle through the burning sensation and it will eventually go away. Also don't paddle too hard. The kayak is only going to go so fast no matter how hard you paddle. go easy and you'll last longer.
