Dad and I headed back in to our salt marsh only to find the paddling to be extremely challenging because of the freshwater dumping in from the solid week of rain we had. Once we got to the spot where I usually catch reds in the morning, we found the water to be high and tea stained with no baitfish activity. It was not looking good. With lots of casts with no hits we were about ready to look for a new spot when I decided to try off a nearby oyster bar. On the first cast I caught a nice red and then dad wades over and on his first cast..

Cast after Cast we pulled in reds and snook! Once the action slowed down there, we ventured around the marshes steady catching more reds but never got on the snook again the rest of the day. Here are some more pics..
