The BACK (Bay Area Canoe & Kayak) Club monthly paddle gathering we call a "Goomba".
This month we visited Robinson Preserve. It was windy but we still managed to find a few fish and see a lot of nature. Then again, I'm sure Vlap will point out, we saw some things that just weren't natural.

Thanks for the lead in. As for the unnatural it was "when nature calls part 2" After my lil episode Mark took the time to brag that he had never fallen out of his kayak. I swore I would be there to get the picture or be the cause of him falling from his boat. While we took some time to relax on a sandbar a large snook was spotted. Mark was in his boat and close by. He tried to stand quickly but just didn't have his feet under him. A lil stumble and an OH crap jump later I finally saw the mighty cooknfish fall from his boat. Was the highlight of my day.

Even Mark had to grin after the fall. He darn near landed on the fish he was hoping to catch.

After Mark's tragic fall he decided to take up some safer methods of fishing. Lacking a deadly combo he hooked up a bobber over a terror eyez and worked the flats.

Now that's funny!

Vlap, no video of the "Great Cooknfish" going for a swim.

Great pictures guys.

It's something alright... It's a biotch to cast! That's what it is...
I got lucky on the fall... errr... I mean dismount. It was way to wavy for me to be trying to stand in that boat. I was ok while I had forward momentum but as soon as the wind turned the boat sideways and the waves started smacking the side, I had to bail or I would have taken everything with me. Luckily it wasn't any deeper than where I was wading so I didn't even get my butt wet. And I still think that was a tarpon and not a snook. If it was a snook, it was a record fer sher.

It was amusing to watch Mark try and cast that bobber. Even better was watching him try to reel it in!
