| what r the best weights(rod,reel,line) for largemouth bass?

| | I use a 5-6 wt rod/reel. 6wt line. It's a little big for 1-2 Lb 'buckies' but just right for the avg 3-5 Lb 'ers. |

| For bass I'll fish with my 6wt, but 5wt would be a lot more fun.
If youre fishing strictly for bass then my suggestion is a 5wt

| It really depends on what you are throwing and the wind/cover conditions you are throwing to. I pretty much fish bass with a topwater presentation in heavy cover. For me a 6 or 8 is ideal.....maybe even a 9. I throw mostly poppers, sliders, divers, and other frog patterns for bass so the bigger presentations require bigger stuff. Wind plays a big part in it too. But what everyone else said is good.....5-8....throw in a 9.....and you should be fine.
