What do you guys look for when you walk into a fly shop. I am not talking about Cabelas or Bass pro, but a "real" fly shop independant of corprate $ $ and control.
Over the years and many travels the one thing that I find make me buy or even return is customer service. Knowing the equipment they sell, not over selling, knowing the water and hatches or bait fish with out the BS. so other than price what draws you to a fly shop?

I agree customer serivice is #1.  I also like to see if they have a good selection of rods, reels, flies, etc.  But ultimately it's the feel of the shop.  Fly shops have an aura about them that you don't get in a regular tackle shop, and it starts with the owner or whoever is working the shop.  My favorites are Andy Thornal's in Winter Haven, The Fly Fisherman in Titusville and Florida Keys Outfitters in Islamorada.

It's only $25.00. If you fish inshore, anywhere in Florida, you have no excuse!
