| I use these types of baits all the time for bass. I have never used them for any saltwater species though! I just take a 3/0 or 4/0 wide gap worm hook and rig it like a regular plastic worm pushing the hook point into the slot in the bottom until the point almost breaks the skin on the back of the lure. Then i throw it around stumps and grass lines or any visible structure and retrieve the lure with short, quick twitches and will pause for about 5 sec. every so often on the retrieve! The twitching makes the lure dart back and forth which imitates injured baitfish. They work great for bass. I love watching them explode these lures on top! Hope this helps!
