What's your opinion on the Shimano Sedona reels? I recently purchased the 4000FB while they were on sale and haven't really got a chance to use it yet. I know they are a lower model on the totem pole of Shimano's, but they are cheep right now and I just wanted some opinions.

If it matters I spooled it up with 10# sufix braid and I normally will be using lures/jigs/spoons no larger then 1/4oz.

Thanks,

Austin

I have the new stradic and compared it to the sustain which is $100 more....couldnt tell the difference. I was considering a Sedona for an everyday reel.....let us know how it holds up. BTW....I use my stradic 8000 for off shore jigging.....it is smooth as silk loaded with 65lb Diawa Saltiga Braid

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work !!!

............... if you keep them out of saltwater. If they do get dunked really take a lot of time to wash/clean them out or many models are history.
