i had a shimano sustain you can put any good reel oil i like quantum hot sauce your reel should a matance port pn the left side you can use a flat head screw drive to open the port and put a about four drops this is ok for every now and then but about two or four times a year you should open your reel up and clean and re oil and grease your reel you can get a diagraph at shimanos site of how to take your reel apart and if you need parts you can buy them from them or find a dealer in your area who can order parts for you its not hard to take a part just make sure you use a cloth or towel to take your reel apart there are alot of small screws i lost one of my back reel cap screw.  i sold my reel for less than half of what i paid for it i sold it for 100 bucks and paid 240 for it, it was the model before last it was smooth and had a good drag but when i took my reel apart i found that there were gears and parts inside of the reel that were made out of plastic for 250 buck plus by the time you pay tax i was not happy to see plastic parts and it was i pain to have to take the reel apart i now use qunatum cabo reels and rods also like cabelas salt striker ti rods and there reels are good for the price as well i get my reels and rods on ebay for a lot less i can get my cabo reels for around 150 bucks or what i would pay for a shimano stradic.  hope this helps you out
