I need help sizing a prop for my flats rig. The stats are 50 hp 2stk Johnson 2 cyl. 5500 rpm. Its going on a 800# flats boat with 500# men and gear. The builder says to us a 13.5x15pitch but I cant find one that size. The current 3 blade alum. prop has no markings and gets her up to 35 mph.
Thank guys!
Doug

I would run the boat at wide open and check the RPM. If it is close to the top RPM for your motor your current prop may be ok. You might check with Power Tech
http://www.ptprop.com/
they can give you very good information on the website with their videos.
