Condensation will build up over time, but you can put an additive in the fuel to remove a little bit of water in the future. Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a fuel and water separator filter installed on your boat to help in the future as well.

the ethanol gas absorbs moisture and then the moisture builds in the tank to water. ur gas line goes to the tank bottom and if there is water, that'll be first to be sucked up. but to prevent being screwed over again, use a clear glass jar and pump the ball and gas into it. but u were definetly screwed over, u coulda bought a spray at advanced that gets all the water out of something and cleaned the carb with carb cleaner and brush, sorry man i was screwed over like that too, 220 for me at brevard marine.

the ethanol sucks moisture outta the air causing it to build up. it'll happen if ur boat sits to long, they have fuel stablizer for those long sits. and for cleaning a carb and all that, thats outragous, it is a very simple thing to do, but i learned the hard way too, 220 at brevard marine for carb cleaning.

Yeah I figured as much I just didn't know myself what the problem was. But now she runs like a champ and I'm happy. Just wish I didn't have to fork out the doe!

That's why I think it would be a good idea to have a motor tech thread added to the forum! So people that new this stuff could throw their two cents in and maybe help someone out in the future..

Get a fuel/water separator filter like a Racor or other brand. Condensation in the tank and the ethanol in most all gasoline will absorb water and could cause problems.

There are some very good posts in this forum for all boats and motors.
