I fish sometimes in mamaroneck, NY for stripers and blues, but I have only caught ones less than five inches on little spoons and the DOA 2 inch shrimp. What bait/lures should I use at the docks to catch fish even a little bigger?

I have spent some time fishing that area, my buddies have a boat sales/service center in Norwalk, Ct. It used to be in Mamaroneck but moved a few years ago. If you want the big fish try snagging some live menhaden and using them on floats or weighted to the bottom. For lures try a "deadly dick" casting spoon, yo-zuri Mag or 3D minnow, diamond jigs, and topwaters like yo-zuri hydro pencil or hydro popper. There is a tackle shop in Norwalk called Fisherman's World that will have all the tackle and info you need.

Have you tried using Red Tail Hawk lures? I gave my buddy a few and he said the stripers love them down deep. I bought mine on eBay.
