| fish in the bigger mullet, mullet schools, let it sit and gentle move it every once in awhile, or fish the potholes and throw it past the hole holding a fish, and gently bring it into the hole and the fishes sight.

| ontopontap (7/22/2008) Hey spyder, how are you hooking the crabs? If you're using a jig head I don't see how letting the pole sit in a rod holder while you fish with something else would be a good idea because you would have no way to set the hook. Maybe if you could fish it somehow on a circle hook and add a weight to it. What's your insite?cirlcle hooks are the way to go if you are wanting to cast and wait. However if fishing a jig head use it as a sight casting lure. just give it a few pop's and nudges. after u get the reds attention bring it to a dead stop... give it a second then pop it again and make sure to hold you'r rod because after that 1-2 second pause, the red will slam it.
Make someone's day... Take a kid fishing... |
