We have a great time jigging for large AJ's over structure or a Spring.  AJ's are a blast because when they hit your in for a great time.  Jigging we have caught AJ, Grouper, Snapper, Cudas & more off the West Coast of Florida. We typically start in 100' and work deeper.

Is it possible to do it 65ft or less? I know a few wrecks in that kind of depth.Should I do it during winter? What water temp? Any ideas on jigs? I have a white glow in the dark and a white and green one? And I know some reefs. Artificial Reefs hold fish like that too Right?

Yes, no problem in that depth but I'd drop down to a 3oz. or 5oz. jig.

We jig all year long! Just jigged 4 weeks ago and caught some AJ's and Grouper.

I use these exclusively: http://www.anglersystems.com/butterflyjigs.html

I also take a few colors and weights (3oz, 5oz & 7oz). My favorite colors at present are black glow and purple glow.

20 - 40 Miles Off Sarasota.  Here is a link to some photos, many of the AJ's pictured were caught with jigs.

I have caught the following species on butterfly jigs......They are amazing

Cobia,Grouper,kingfish,Snook,AJ's,Dolphin,Wahoo....I think I got them all

The Dolphin and Wahoo were caught under a huge weed patch off the Bahamas

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work !!!
