| | Hey guys, Jama called again. He's got a bladder infection right now. He's weak, and lost a lot of weight. He's under 120 right now... she said he's pretty much malnourished. They put in a port to get him some nutrition and helpful for drawing blood, etc... that should help him be more comfortable. They are running tests to see what's wrong, but so far they haven't figured it out. Keep those posts coming with support... I'm emailing them to her so she can print them and take them to Mike!! It helped before, it'll keep him going this time!! Thanks everyone!!!!! Mike, you and Jama are in our thoughts daily!!! If we can do anything, don't hesitate to ask!! We're here for ya! Sending BIG hugs!!!!!!! LY

| | Mike and Jama . . . please know that both of you are in our thoughts and I pray that each of you get the strength you need to fight through this time. Jama - you're a fighter . . . you keep it all together so that Mike can get strong. Mike - you keep fighting so you can put a smile back on Jama's face just having you back home to be there for her. I know how tired you are of all of this . . . I've been through it with my family and have actually been on both sides of the bed, I know how exhausted you are. I also know that your love for each other, love for your family, love of life, love of Cracker's deep fried Thanksgiving turkey, and the love this AF family has for you can overcome yet another visit to the hospital. Mike, take this time to heal your body, stregthen your spirit and get right back home to your world. Jama, take this time to take care of yourself, stregthen your spirit and get Mike home to your world. Until then, we're right here cheering you on! Keep fighting, Patrice |

| | Well, GOOD news!! Jama said all the tests they ran came back that he's still cancer free. They are probably going to transfer him to a rehab facility to get some strength back... will know more in a day or so... they may do this as early as Friday. They both actually slept 2 hours straight last night! Mike has an appetite, which is a wonderful thing. He's eating as much as his tiny tummy will allow!! WOOHOO! I'll letcha know when I hear more! Thanks for the positive energy and prayers, they are working!!!!!!!!!!! He wants to be at MM, if even for just short periods, so that's his goal!!

| I don't know if they would remember me from MM last year but I just wanted to tell them I'm pulling for them. Thats great news that he should be transfered to a rehab center soon, thats one step closer to being back home where he belongs. I will continue to keep them in my prayers.

| | These updates are what I missed most about being unable to get this site. Thanks again Teri... Mike, you better hurry. I still need a place to crash and eat some lasagna...You need to get home and eat some also. That will put some weight back on those old bones. Jama, you know where your strength lies. Just lean on your faith and stay strong. Much love and good wishes to you both.

| | Hey guys, I can't thank you all enough. Once again your powers of prayer have rescued me. Real quickly, I'll try to bring you up to date, even though Terri has done a great job as usual (Thanks so much sweetheart :o) Well, I was so bad off I had 10 bags of antibodies and other junk hangin on the IV. hanger, my Dr. really didn't know if I was going to survive this time. I stayed tethered to the bed (3 ft.) for 15 days, and 1/2 out of my mind. Anyway they got the right mix finally, put ports in me, to the point of looking BORG LOL. My Dr. came in today to tell me I wasn't going to rehab, and was going to have to just spend another 2 weeks in the hospital because, the anti bodies I'm on only come in I.V form. Well since the article about us in the newspaper last Tuesday came out, Hospice contacted us and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to help. It turns out that they can care for me at home, with an at home I.V. system, so we jumped on that! Anyway trying to keep it short, I am now under temporary Hospice care, AT HOME!!!!! and me and Jama are administering my I.V s ourselves, with a nurse on stand by. (they look like little tennisball sized plastic grenades filled with fluids).Jama gave me my 1st I.V. (into the other long term port they put in), flushed it with the saline syrenges and everything. So for as short as I can make this, I am HOME taking my last 2 weeks of antibiotics, not the hospital. I am still soooooo weak, and in a lot of pain, but hey,...I'm home. I can't even begin to thank you ALL for the wishes and prayers, but hopefully over the next week, I'll be able to get online more and be able to. Well, that's it for now, it's 12:40am, but I just couldn't go to bed without Thanking you ALL and letting you know, I may look like something out of star trek, but I am Kickin this things arse, and takin names LOL. So Don't worry, I'm doing a lot better now, you know me, I won't let anything stop me. Well, goodnight ALL and Thank you again for all the s |
