As long as you know the TYPE of glue, you can easily do it yourself, but I let the experts do it, and if they get it wrong, they'll do it again for free until they get it right. Plus they are better at making that transition from metal to glass (clear resin) rather than it looking like it was just smashed on there leaving a harsh butt end and an overflow of glue everywhere. Just my opinion from experiences I've had.
