| | im planning a trip to one of the 2. tryin to go somewhere to get lots of snook. any advice on which one to go to. i will drive down early, and leave late at night to get some snook under lights. any info would be greatly appreiciated. never fished tides or current like that, to use to the north indian river where tides don't exist. |

| | It depends on if you are bringing a boat or not, but when it comes to snook, Fort pierce and Jensen beach is just about the best. Our inlet has a slow wake zone, so the water isn't like a washing machine. The south jetty hold a lot of snook, and the Dockside Inn on the way to the Jetty is an excellent spot, they have a lot of docks with lights, just for attracting the snook. You can look right down on top of them! You can watch them take your bait. However if you have a boat, I know a lot of easy to get to places where the snook are usually biting. If you want the spots I can email them to you. As far as Stuart and jupiter, I'm sure there are a lot of people here to answer those questions who know those places better. Good luck! | | fort pierce sounds even better, closer to my house, save a lil gas, yea, me and ron both have boats, they both are flats boats. we really wanna get some nice snook, we got the trophy redfish and trout covered, but next is snook and titusville ain't exactly snook central. we can find em, but normally between 24-28 inches, sometimes bigger. |

| | I would have to choose Jupiter for the ease of finding fish. There is no better place than Jupiter Inlet when snook gather for summer spawning there. Some true slobs inhabit that inlet, fish over 20lbs are quite common. Best part is on an incoming tide you can just look down and see hundreds of snook gathered around waiting for dinner to wash by. Stuart (St. Lucie Inlet area) is also a great place with big fish a little more spread out. The piles in the inlet, docks up the St. Lucie river, the Roosevelt Bridge (as seen on AF), Sailfish flats and docks down the intracoastal hold plenty of fish. I fish the area quite a bit and the little extra driving is well worth it. |

| Ron : Don`t think you could go wrong in either spot when looking for Large Snook,and a place to Up-Grade your Trout  but each has something a little differant to offer. I think Ft.Pierce is a great place to start,lot`s of Dock`s along the Inlet for the Snook to hide under,and like Mike said,It`s a Slow Zone,so you don`t have alot of wave action to deal with. Both Bridges holds tons of fish,and Massive Grass-Flat`s North and South of the Inlet holds Snook,Poon`s,and some of the Largest Trout in the State. Snook bite is good during the day,but when the Sun Goes Down,like mentioned before,all the Dock`s along the Inlet attract large number`s of Snook,and the dock`s with alot of good light`s pointing down into the water,seem to hold the most Good Luck guy`s

| | thanks guys, i think we'll take ron's boat to ft pierce, closer to home and sounds as good as all the rest. im planning on takin rons flats boat on a wednesday around noon. get out there about 2 and start fishin, so i can get some snook lights in, without wearing ourselves out and draining the battery. those spots would be appreciated and if u ever come to north indian river i'll help ya out with big reds. |
