We're growing our own veggies folks . . . and having a blast!  It's amazing to see these beauties grow and turn into vegetables . . . I'm diggin' it!  I've got to add some more varieties (carrots, beets, sweet potatoes) to the bunch but for now, it's a good start:

Beefsteak tomatoes

Patio tomatoes

Red peppers

Yellow peppers

Black eggplant

Japanese eggplant

Zucchini

Yellow Squash

Acorn Squash

Cucumbers

Cantelope

Rosemary / Thyme / Parsley / Cilantro / Basil

I've got 3 pineapple plants growing elsewhere on property, and a Blueberry bush on the way . . .

I'm now ready for a mango and avacado tree!  I don't think Kevin knew what he was getting into when he built me a greenhouse . . . I'm waaaaay over on the deep end of this pool now!!

Nice greenhouse and it looks critter proof too. I did the 100% organic veggie garden myself before, the whole build up the compost/soil prep etc. However, the Rott we  had decided to "harvest" up things and do victory rolls in the leftovers.......

NOTHING like going back to the land and enjoying the results at the supper table, good luck to you guys.

Cool looking composter Cook!

I really like the greenhouse Trice. Good thing Kevin made it bird proof. I used to grow tomatoes in my backyard in large containers and just before they'd get ripe, the mockingbirds would peck holes in them!!!

I may start growing my own veggies again after looking at your greenhouse and also seeing the high cost of vegetables in the store!

Nothing like fresh vegetables that are home grown!

Nice job there Producerman on the build, and great job on fillin that thing up Trice. With the price of veggies these days, you'd think that it takes 8 gallons of gas to bring a single tomato to market! We'll eventually all get smart and start growing our own food again. Thanks for posting the pics, it looks great, and fun too,

Enjoy!

That's totally it . . . with the price of everything out there and it always on the incline, I had had it.  It was time to grow our own food . . . if Kevin would let me, I'd bring in my own chickens, cows and sheep too!  He'd disown me though (I think) if I did that.

Plus, the food just tastes better when it comes from your own soil . . . not over processed, over hybred, over sprayed, over grown and over priced.  Just back to the basics here on the ranch.

I'll be bringing some of my harvest to Mogan Mania to share!

Looking forward to some food reports with those fresh Veggies!!! I didn't see any chiles in that list Wish I had the room to do something like that.

You're right Vlap, no chilis.  I like a little heat in my food . . . Kevin, not so much.  I almost got one of the hot pepper plants but thought I'd have too many on my hands when they came in.  Hey, I can tweak it and add anything I want so who knows what I'll be growing next!

I can't wait to make some zucchini bread (two kinds - sweet & savory breads), grill some eggplant, make some bruschetta with my tomatoes and basil . . . oh, the possibilities are endless - bwaahaahaa!!

I told you that I've gone off the deep end . . .
