| Have I mentioned just how much I hate computers?!?
Last week I lost everything! Almost 10 years of fishing pictures (everything since I moved from film to digital), all of my email contacts, all of my favorites/bookmarks... EVERYTHING!
It has taken me about a week but I got most of it back. There's still a bunch of stuff that was unrecoverable or just couldn't find, stuff that will never be able to be replaced, lost forever. (sigh)
So, what have I missed?
~Mark~

| Mine just took a crap also, so we broke down and bought a Dell, we'll have it early next week. Its getting real old not having a computer at the house and its only been 3 days.

| | Sorry to hear about that Cook, but this was just the incentive (**reminder**) I needed to start backing everything up on the external hard drive I got about 6 months ago and is still sitting here in the box. I also plan to burn everything I have to date onto DVD's for extra backup. At least you were able to recover some of it........but it still sucks! chumhead

| | Been there on that one Mark. Lost the entire hard drive on my computer about a year ago. Glad I backed up everything on a disk before that happened so I was okay. Still might have to add an external hard drive for just in case..... I think that would be a good safeguard feature. Hope you get things straightened out soon. Sorry you had some items that are unrecoverable. Computers are great until you have a problem.....! Missed seeing you at the DOA Paddler's Only Tournament. It was a good time and I think everyone had a lot of fun! The barbeque was excellent! Tight Lines, KT

| Mark, sorry to hear about your puter problem, I hope you at least recovered most of your sentimental stuff. I have saved tons of stuff, so if there is something specific you need to get back, let us all know because we may have copies. I've nabbed a lot of pics & stuff from the A/F forum over the years, so let us know if you can think of anything we can help ya with. By the way are you guys going to be able to make it to MM this year?take care, Mike & Jama
