I actually saw these at the DOA Paddlers Only Tournament this past weekend in Stuart and took these photos! There is a mid size and a mini version. The mini version is actually on Mark Nichols personal Shimano Calcutta rod.

If you maniacs wanted smaller versions of the BFL (Big Fish Lure) they are in the development stages and these are the hot pics for your viewing pleasure:

Remember you saw them here first!

I kept waiting for Mark Nichols to turn his back so I could grab that smaller bfl. They look very nice and I can't wait to buy one and go fishing!

Its called the bfl 2.5 I believe. Its not available yet and being that this lures imitates a swimming mullet I think it will be great for snook.

I saw them also, there was a box of the mid sized ones on the table. I saw Mark head out to the baordwalk out back with that rod in his hand while waiting for 3pm checkin.

He was casting it along the shallows, I walked up and spoke to him, asked what he was throwing and he said it was a proto-type. Looked great in the water, he said it was swimming just like he wanted it to.

A ray happened to swim by with a Snook hanging close by, but neither took a second look, but that lure looked pretty kool in the water. I think it also had the adjustable lip like the BFL to change the depth action. Not sure if it slides up the line like the BFL though.

I think these will be excellent lures to try out on reds, snook, and seatrout once they become available. Don't know the actual name yet but can't wait to try them out.

I already have some "testing"....fishing areas in mind!

LOL Vlap....I would have liked to make a couple casts with the smaller BFL myself......like under the Roosevelt Bridge!
