| | We fished Outgoing Thurs night, Incoming Friday and the outgoing Friday night. We drifted probably a combination of 80 pins, mohara, and greenies, without a single hit until the outgoing Friday night when i landed a jack. After that the blues and ladies moved in with average size of 3lbs. After we blew through 3 dozen shrimp with the ladies/blues we decided to takeoff. After 24 hours of fishing with no sleep we were tired and the flying ants and noseeums were just too much. I've never seen the inlet that slow, and I doubt we'll go back until snook season closes. All fishing was done off of the North Jetty. |

| Sorry to hear that D12,but it sounds like ya caught a Tweener...........A Tough Weekend between Spring and Summer This time of year,if you can`t find em in the Inlet during a Tide Change, then I spend alot of time Wadding the Flats in the River, near the Inlet......and it was just about this time last year when I caught an OVERSIZED SLAM on the Flats South of the Boat Ramp, with a 10lb Rig,and DOA CAL,but because I was alone,I only got a Pic of the Snook when someone came by to see what I was Fighting, and snapped a Pic for me....but the Red and Trout was the same size as this Snook.
The Flats North and South of the Inlet holds plenty of fish, and are accessable to Wadder`s due to the hard, grassy bottom......the north side is a little tougher to find your way,but the south flat is very thick grass, with a nice drop on the outside edge.......nice break from the crowd`s Give it a shot next time down there

| Wow cracker that's a slob! I bet that thing pulled like a freight train in that shallow water I've actually wondered about those flats,...we've stopped off the side of A1A and have seen trout busting on pilchards, maybe one day I'll have a day like that. |

| Croaker`s........We use to net them in the Surf.........but the Darker one`s from the River seem to work better in the Inlet for some reason, but not sure where in the River you can find the.........Ask the Bait-Shop next time down there, they might be able to head ya in the right direction

| What the heck was I thinking Are you looking for something for the Truck,or something to wheel up on the jetty ? 55gal Drum : Car-Wash,Detail Shop,Oil-Change Shop......just stop in and ask if they have an empty you could get now,or one that will be empty soon that you can return for An Old Shop-Vac and Hand-Truck will keep plenty of bait`s alive and kicking up on the jetty for ya .

| I'm going down to the inlet for the first time in a while on Saturday for a snook trip.I'm gonna strictly use bucktails and swimming plugs on the night outgoing tide. I'll post any pics if i catch anything.
and about the drums, unless your gonna fish for 24hrs straight like those guys do your not gonna need that much bait anyways.. for a whole day or night of fishing i just use a cooler it'll hold 3doz. easy of your favorite live bait. all you need is 2 or 3 aerators and your good to go.
