I usually use DOA's and Gulps, but I decided to try those new Rapala X-wrap Sub-walks - no luck...not even a nibble. What's your opinion? If you think it's me, let me know how you use it. I use the "walking the dog" technique. I use the olive color because it matches the bait where I live (Manatee county)

Thanks!

I've got a couple Sub-walks.... the first day with them we boated 3 trout at about 5 lbs each.... since then nothing. I originally got to see if I could get some reds on it because I'm a big topwater guy, but it hasn't happened. I like the action.... but between the puffers, stingrays and everything else that swims in 8 inches of water, i think I'll stick with my Zara Spooks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll just keep hammerin' with it and see how it goes.

Similar to the Mirromullet - mirromullet works well in skinney water.  I think a tailing red can get spooked with the clank of a she dog or a skitterwalk.  Might be a time and a place for the sub walk.

I like the looks and design of the lure very much. I've been trying to test it out along the beach but the red floating algae is fouling the treble hooks when I cast it out.

I'll hopefully post some pics when I get the opportunity to really field test the lure!

I like the olive color and the chartreuse/white color for the beach. I also like the way the lure looks as it is very detailed and it does cast a long way per design.
