I'm having problems catching these fish!!!! Everybody tells me how easy they are to catch, and that they'll bite on anything!

I need some tips on what lures I should use, and how to work them. Any tips you guys could share with me, would be great.

Lately all i have been able to do fishing wise is go bass fishing in my local lakes...i have been averaging 10 bass a day from 5pm past dark to about 10pm... all ive been doing is "dead stick" use a 7" black stickbait (basically a worm with no paddletail on it) rigged weedless with a 4/0 lazorsharp worm hook.(i use bigger hooks cause out of those 10 bass a day ive also been averaging 2 bass over 6lb.)but if you want to have fun on them you can go as light as you want... and depending on the wind a 1/16 to a 1/8 oz. bullet weight walk the lake and just cast out about 10 ft and let it just sit there then give it a hard twitch and let it sit again...then reel up and keep walking...fish structure like trees, grass , and rocks...oh yeah and if your using braided line use a leader because they can see the line and sometimes they wont bite because of it... leader should be maximum of 20lb...

If they wont take artificial you can count on them to take a nice big shiner.

I grew up in a house with a worm fisherman.  colors: red shad, junebug(purple), watermelon (green), or if the water is really clear try pumpkin.

Culprit makes a good old fashioned shad worm that always works.  Zoom makes a trick worm that always produces fish, try the watermelon.

Work it slow, raise it up a few feet and then drop it back down.  reel in slack and repeat.

Around my house there are retention ponds and the bass in there wont turn down a big shiner, but these are starting to take over.
