| Went out to three lakes this morning. Had a hen run to me and do a funky little dance at about ten feet in front of me. When walking back to the truck I called up another hen. I moved again along Illahaw fence line and called up a huge Long beard to bad he was on the wrong side of the fence. As I was calling to him and enjoying natures finest, another hen suprised me and turned away in a dead run. All in all what an awesome day hunting.

| Wow,How the heck..... .....Garry,you got one heck of a Memory, that was a few year`s ago.Sence I Bow-Hunt only,I`ve learned to stay out of the Public Turkey Wood`s during Turkey Season...too many Shotgun`s at Waist Level for my liking ........But,Bow-Season is just around the corner.....I try to get my bird early, then a Doe`s for the Freezer,Hog`s and Buck`s during Gun-Season Capt, Keven : Running the Fence-Line for bird`s can get agrevating, waiting for them to cross over is like waiting for Christmas....but like Christmas,it`s worth the wait Better luck on your next trip Keven....Stay Safe

| | Cracker, I remembered you so well cause I've never seen a turkey hunter use a bow in spring.... just kinda stuck . Capt. Keven, My father and I checked out three lakes the weekend before opening weekend. Very nice place, seen three hens walk across the road and seen some good gobbler sign in the fresh burn area. Looked like a good place to hunt but it was a long long drive over.... hour and a half. Good luck to you hunting there, maybe we'll get a wild hair and drive down there for a weekend and camp..... oh yeah... I never knew there was a wrong side of the fence...jk

| | Yeah,I guess that does kinda stick out . Your a very lucky man Garry,it sounds like you and your father spend alot of time together in the Hunting Wood`s,I never could get mine away from his Bass-Boat long enough to take an intrest ,so I was an Adult before I caught the Hunting Bug,and oddly enough,it was my Bro-In-Law that took the time to teach me to Sweat The Details, then turned me loose on his 250 achor`s of prime Hardwood Bottom, and Corn Field`s in SW Georgia. We went up for thanksgiving, shot my first Deer {8 Point},and I fell in love with Hunting right then and there.......so much, that I called a friend, and had him put my Tool-Box in storage, and I stayed in the woods for another year up there........I payed my way by working in Bro-In-Law`s Sign Shop at night, and a little Gun-Smithing for some of the locals.....but my day`s were spent in the Wood`s. I get a Rush every time I slip on my Camo`s,and I think about those days Here`s the critter that started it all :

| Well........Let`s pick a spot for Sept Bow Season,we can go scout it out in Aug. Like you,my fishing bug is strong, and I also need to spend more time in the wood`s,but it`s tough to find anyone around here that likes to do that on a regular basis,so my Fishing Bug is easier to feed.........Meeting up with someone at a Hunting Area sure makes it easier to toss the Climber and Bow in the truck, instead of hooking up the boat I know there are plenty of WMA`s around the state,I know Bull Creek fairly well, but never tried any of the other`s. I checked most of them out on the Computer, but never had the time to do it in person. Are there any that you like more than the other`s ? Think about it a little, and let me know
