I'm thinking of buying a canoe for fishing in those no motor zones etc..

When you bring in a fish from your canoe or kayak, does it ever get hit by a shark? sorry but I'm really afraid of sharks, thats why i would never want to fall off......

Some people have had sharks hit a fish they were bringing in. Will this cause you to fall from your boat? No it should not.

I guess you won't want to join me when I next go shark fishing. I love them sharks. Incredible creatures.

Not that I have ever heard of... To be honest I do fish for them for a kayak and am not too worried. I have caught them while wading and released them beside me.
They are creatures to be respected but in all honesty I do not think they want to hurt us...

I love to see them when I am out fishing.

There are worse things to be scared of, sharks are the least of your worries. Manatees! These beast should scare you into staying on shore!

And don't forget the dolphins!! If I see them roaming around I go in the other directions.... Sharks, on the hand, I'll pitch a bait at!! : )

Sharks don't really both canoes or kayaks. Manatees are big, curious creatures and will rub on your boat... if they see you. If you don't see them and run up on their back with the canoe, you can almost guarantee you will go for a swim. Now you're in the water with the sharks and you cannot climb back into a canoe in deep water.
