| Everybody has those kind of days WCD. In fact the last few times I've been out they have had lock jaw all day long. No matter weather, pressure, or any other conditions, sometimes they just wont bite.

| they might have known you were there because the other day I poled by an oyster bar twice and sight casted two reds each time, both would come up to it and just keep going, then i poled away came back, staked out and just blind casted to the bar and got one right off the bat, then two more

| | same problem here up in the panhandle with the trout 27" and up. think about it they dont get tht big being stupid. they are smart i found if u down the hook size to a size 1 and if using braid tie on a 7' piece of 8# leader u will get alot more hits. than if u were using 15 lb leader. another thing when the trout is coming up to the ait some times i give a twicht and pull it away from them and that will sometimes trigger a reaction strike.and get him fired up.

| I would watch your shadows and just drift along the flat as far away as you can from the fish.
no trolling motor (unless correcting the drift) and no poling and obviously no engine...
Also, if you are seeing these big trout, I would recommend throwing some finger mullet at them; that might get their attention.
And try throwing past the fish and then if you have to bring it to him, not too fast....or just let the fish figure out where the bait it.
Good Luck

| | well when there rooting really good then there face is always pretty much in the grass and sand so u got to try and get the bait right in front of their nose and not just whever like near their tails but try using a little peice of chunks mullet or ladyfish something that bleeds and smells real bad |
