With 3 kayaks, a canoe, a dozen rod/reel combos, boxes of baits, not to mention a washer and dryer, my garage is getting pretty gnarly. When Sharon got her canoe, she wanted a trolling motor to put on it. Being the "man" that I am, I got her a trolling motor. (Tim "The Toolman" Taylor would be proud!) Unfortunately, Sharon wasn't keen to the idea of having a motor that weighs the same as the boat so she bought her own.

Did I return the 55# thrust Riptide? Hell no! I had too much fun blasting around in that lil' electric race boat! (This setup IS NOT recommended for ANYONE.) So now I have 2 motors and 2 batteries to add to the collection of toys in the garage.

This weekend I set out to add to my collection of do it yourself projects. Next to my homemade rod holder and kayak rack, I now have a trolling motor and battery recharging station. Cost of materials including beer... just over $30.

My new favorite graphic!!  What size pipe did you use?

My trolling motor stand is a little different. I got tired of walking back to the grage to round everything up to go fishing.
