, but sometimes you just have to do whats right.Cheers Mark! Hoist a cool one for a job well done. chumhead That's exactly the point, chumhead! I "rescued" a dying opossum from the middle of Tyndall Pkwy a couple of months ago. It was just sitting there, right in the middle of the road and doomed to be splattered, and I just wasn't going to see it happen. Long story short...with the cooperation of some very kind drivers, I helped it stagger off the road, and scooped it into a box, where it died several hours later. It just seemed like a matter of dignity ( some say animals don't have dignity? ). I didn't think that "dead opossum walking" needed to end up as hamburger to prove it. Sometimes you just need to do the right thing, whether it's a tree rat, or a flying rat, or whatever it is!
"Not till the loom is silent, and the shuttles cease to fly, shall God unroll the canvas, and explain the reason why."

| | I've tried 3 times to respond to this prior to this. Now that I seem to be logged in this time, I'll give it another shot! Hey Mark, GREAT job... I get soo annoyed when I see discarded line in the water... good for you for saving that bird. We need more concered anglers l;ike you, to help with this ongoing problem. We reported a dead baby porpoise one day up here, it had become tangled in a crab trap line that was missing it's float. They asked us to stay with it til they could get out there. So sad... Anyhoo... good job!!

| Not as honorable as a bird or mammal, but last weekend I saw a cork in the grass so I went over to it incase there as a fish hung on it and sure enough a tiny catfish was. I carefully got the jig out of its mouth and let it swim free.
