| | So I guess you know where I am going with this. I would not say I was dissapointed, but it was not one of my best days, not even as good as usual. I took my dad and my brother with me on this trip and I must say, I am worn out. I told them on the way back home that they have got to sit down at home and get some line and practice tying the knots I use. I spent seemingly all day tying leaders and lures. Now I like helping people but it was getting kinda old. I did not fish with exactly what I wanted when I wanted to assure they had on what they needed. After all, I get to fish alot more so I do not mind makin sure they have a good time. We ended up catching (within the slot, but not necessarily in the cooler) a few flounder, a 26 in red, two trout over 20in one at 22 one at 24, a spanish mack, and some rock bass. The juvy gags are back on the flats again so I am about to break out my fly rod and have fun on them. Also one of the sea bass was quite heafty. We got cut off by several macks because we did not have the wire leaders for them since we were not targeting them. Miz DOA's dad was out there with her uncle and cousin using the DOA gold glitter shrimp I turned em on to and they caught dozens and dozens of trout, mainly under slot with possibly one barely over 20 in. We chose as usual to stay in the areas where the gators lay as opposed to goin out for the sure numbers bet. Sorry that I have no pics, I still gotta show yall the new motor, but this trip was very hectic. I still had a great time, but it looks like I will give the West Coast a break this weekend and I will try my east spots and maybe explore some new areas. Then next weekend it will be back to the west for a two day trip.

| | Matt, Sounds like you had a good time. I too know what its like to tender all the rods and tie the knots while out. I like to try to teach people how to tie their own knots, but after the gazillionth time showing them it gets old. At least you caught fish. I say if you are catching fish, then you are having a good time. Gags on fly sounds like a lot of fun.
