Have ya looked into the KOA Kampground there on Pine Island,it has Cabin`s,Cottages,and on site Trailer`s that are just fantastic,we stayed there in the Off-Season[Sept} it was less than $200.00 for the whole week,and we had a Single Wide Trailer.....Huge Bedroom,Bathroom,Full Kitchen,livingroom,Cable,Phone,Internet Access,Laundry,Pool.......All the Pleasures Of Home,away from home;)

Ramp`s on both ends of the Island,so you can get to whatever area you choose to go fairly quick.....Good Seafood on either end and comming onto the Island;)

Just a quick Summertime Note: We had a Heavy Tropical Storm hang around from day 2 till day 7 of our Vacation....still cought plenty of fish,but Pine Island is just that...An Island,and it will flood:w00t: we got off the Island late on Day 6,the Road had about a 6 inch strip in the middle that wasn`t flooded :w00t:.......so just keep a good eye on the Weather;)

if u can i would stay at tarpon lodge its right there by pineland marina which is about a 5-10 min boat ride to the pass. if u need ne fishin tips shoot me a pm nd ill give ya some spots i fish that area all the time

Boca Grande Info Needed

I'm planning a trip to Boca Grande in May or June of 07. I can't afford to stay on the island and am looking for a motel in North Ft. Myers. What kind of a drive am I looking at from Ft. Myers to Boca? How far are the boat ramps on Pine Island from the pass at Boca? Any information about where to stay or where to camp that wouldn't be too far from the Pass would be appreciated. Thanks.
