It was super easy! Hardest part was making sure the pole was mounted on the transom the correct number of inches up from the bottom of the boat and straight... My hat is off to the power pole people for ease of installation!!! The people doing the installs for hundereds of dollars have got a sho' nuff' racket going on! I don't have the remote but wish I did. Mine has a switch on the console. It anchors great in 5 foot of water or less, but if you are in 5 foot of water and have some wave action, you might have a sticking problem and it does not anchor well near the 6 foot mark for obvious reasons.
