Tom,

You are correct in the trout that Capt Rick caught was at MM2. I was kinda overlapping the first Mogan Mania by describing the bar set up we had which was right next to the registration table just off the roadway in front of the chickee hut. Rufus provided a folding table and we ran extension cords to the hut to power up the blenders. The bbq was excellent at MM1 and nobody went away easily,the plates were piled up high! There were a number of people who caught their first snook and Ron aka Roosterfish (RIP) made a video to capture all the fun. The tarpon I put Sue on was at MM1 on the tunnel/flatbottom skiff I built, Tail Bones. I was really cranking out the overtime building Sue's skiff for MM2,but the state would not issue the needed paperwork 2 days before so we came up with rum but no skiff. It was still a great time either way.

Yes,there are many memories we all have and with the mileage of these Mogan mania's behind us,one thing has been a constant,the people who organize and the people who sponsor the show and lastly,the fans are what makes Mogan Mania the success that it is.

Yes, the 'trout incident' AND 'lifeguard status' were both at River Palms for MMII.

Ever since MMII, every year I have made sure my vacation time coincides with Mogan Mania....unlike DOA, there is NO EXCUSE to miss it!

Capt.Karl: I think that "Play-By-Play" on the Trout,was MMII,but there are so many good Memory`s,who`s counting........Yeah ,that Chickee Hut was Awsome,and the Group Photo at MMII was a blast,trying to get 200 people to......"Move Right"........"Move Left"....."Now Everyone Back Up"...:P

I remember seeing a Gallon of Painkiller last year,but by the time I went back to the Room to get a Glass,when I came back,It Was Gone:w00t:....So I have to Double Up this year:P

I hope we don`t need them,but I`m bringing a bunch of tool`s with me this year,just in case;)

Didn`t the Mogan Man get hooked at MMII.....I think he was the"Strangest Catch" that year.....Yeah,I think it was LittlePoon,and he won a Guided Trip from the Moganman;)

Seeing how fast these Top-Named Pro Angler`s{and we get some of the biggest}will go down to One-Knee,to talk with and share Info with the Kid`s......Priceless.......These Guy`s realy care about the Young Angler`s:cool:

Cracker,

At MM1, we burned out one of the blender motors due to over work!:w00t:

There was a back up so the weekend was a go. We had the painkillers in the cooler as we always do and our room was a short walk from the chickee where the party was. At MM2,we moved the operation to the bar and that was more convienent for all.

We brought 2 cases of rum and 500 lbs of ice up from Ft Lauderdale along with the mixers since there were rumrunners,pina coladas and a Miami Vice,which is a combo of the two layered in a marble. The Myer's high octane floaters were optional.

It was a good time and we did catch some nice fish at MM1. Capt Rick caught a 5 lb trout off his skiff while checking his anchor line and Capt Blair did a play by play from the chickee hut with the PA system.I put Sue on some nice tarpon near the inlet and she jumped one that threw the Mirrolure into a wooden bridge so I poled Tail Bones to it and I climbed up to unsnag it while Sue held the skiff.

Memory lane is good to go down and MM5 will create some new ones for the family as well.

See ya in Ft Pierce and hopefully we won't have to do an emergency mechanical fix to any Yamahas in the parking lot this year,remember that one Tom? The pain killers will be iced down in cooler standby for Friday night.

Is anyone out there........................................ I'm looking for some info on the tournament , it looks like a pretty kick a** time . It shall be first time aboard . Besides the crazy times what is up with fishing , different catagories , will there be an inshore slam division , or is it just biggest fish in each catagory ??? Offshore and inshore divisions ???? I dont wanna throw a damper on all the positives about the party...but I just called the Dockside to finish paying for the room and they hit me with ANOTHER $100.00 for boat slip fees :unsure: . Seems like everytime I contact them it gets more expensive !

Vlap and Nitro, I was gonna reserve the room for Monday too , but that phone call cleaned me of my entire paycheck , so it is still thurs -sun. (4 days total)...Oh and our 2 double beds and a fold out and the full kitchen ..transformed itself somehow:unsure: to a king bed and a fold out and no stove , justa microwave. Hope you guys dont mind sleeping together !:w00t:

Please don't let these guys scare ya! ;) What I look forward to the most is seeing all these wonderful people fish together, share advice, tips, techniques, stories, and lots of laughs. :hehe:

I also can't wait to hook into another Mogan Mania Snook! We haven't been able to fish at all this year (other than ice fishing in January) and I know at least I'll get some serious saltwater action that weekend. I've got a new Capt. Karl "Husker" rod to break in and get fish slime all over so I'm definitely ready!

You think y'all are squirmin' for MMV to get here? I just got home from Vegas today (5 p.m.) and walked into a studio filled with shipments and deliveries of MMV goodies, supplies, messages, emails and TSHIRTS!! The tshirts are here and they're SA-WEET! FlatsKracker did a phenominal job on the design and I can't wait for you guys to see them. It's like Christmas around here and I know you're gonna love the stuff we've got for yas. :D

Have a safe trip to Ft Pierce next week everyone . . . we'll be rolling in on Thursday. It's going to be a great gathering of true Mogan Maniacs and the best group of fishermen and friends you'll have the pleasure of spending the weekend with.
